Peanut butter 100g
Sugar 125g
Chocolate chips 125g
Self-raising flour 150g

Variations

The chocolate chips can come from crushing chocolate buttons. The peanut butter can be either crunchy or not.

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 180°C and line a tray (or two) with baking paper.
  2. Beat the butter and sugar together until pale and creamy. Then whisk in the peanut butter.
  3. Stir in the flour and chocolate chips until thoroughly mixed together.
  4. Roll the dough into 18 balls.
  5. Place on the baking sheet(s), being sure to leave some space between each ball. (They will expand during cooking.) Flatten the balls slightly.
  6. Bake for 10–12 minutes, or until golden.
  7. Allow to cool for at least 5 minutes.
